Carolyn began her journey into monastic spirituality in 2005 when watching a documentary on on a Benedictine monastery that took at risk young men and taught the simplistic way of work and prayer.
This way of life attracted Carolyn in 2011 to become an oblate of a monastery to learn more deeply about the practices of this school of prayer also known as Benedictine spirituality.
Carolyn received a Master's of Pastoral Ministry from the Augustine Institute and is the RCIA director at Prince of Peace parish in Altus, Oklahoma. She is currently enrolled in the Archdiocese of OKC's spiritual director training program. When not teaching she is planning hikes in the Rockies or even climbing in the mountains which takes alot of prayer.
